Sam Trexler

Sam Trexler is a Flight Instructor and graduate of the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University. He has been flying since 2008 and earned his Flight and Advanced Ground School Instructor certificates in 2011. Sam has experience flying complex, high-performance and tail wheel aircraft. In addition, he holds a Commercial Single / Multi-Engine License.

David Barbour

David Barbour has 15 years of flying experience with over 1,500 hours of flight time. He has been a flight instructor for 8 years with 1,200+ hours of teaching. He holds a Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) license, and has experience in tail wheels, high performance, complex, standard and light sport planes, glass instruments, and aerial photography. He also specializes in aerobatic training and has conducted spin training as well as advanced stall training for pilots.

David instructs at Hickory Regional Airport (HKY) as well as Foothills Regional Airport (MRN).

Mac McMillan

Mr. McMillian has 25 years of flying experience that includes flying for NASCAR in a King Air turbo prop. He has six years of flight instruction experience, and has logged over 1,800 hours. His endorsements include; Advanced Ground School Instructor, CFII, glass panel instruments, Single / Multi Engine, Standard and Light sport planes and Spin Training.

Mac is available for instruction at Morganton (MRN) and Hickory Regional (HKY)
